Cyber Risk Appetite Assessment - MVP Phase 1
Each organisation has a risk appetite as unique as a fingerprint. Unisphere has culminated decades of cyber, strategy and governance experience into creating a world first - a cyber risk appetite score. We look at the impact of a cyber event on revenue, reputation, regulation and sensitive data (or PII) as well as taking into account your organisation’s relationship to risk (from conservative to risk seeking).
A board of directors or senior management team deal in dollars, numbers and percentages to manage business risk and performance. Therefore, delving into the complex realm of cyber risk with its distinct lack of absolutes is challenging at best.
By taking 15minutes for each board or leadership team member to answer 12 questions we can very accurately produce a cyber risk appetite score as well as highlight your greatest areas of cyber risk. This score is a crucial counterpoint to your cyber assessment score, also known as your cyber posture score. Everything is summarised onto a board paper explainer.
How does the Minimum Viable Protection (MVP) approach work?
The cyber risk appetite score sets the target the organisation seeks to be for their cyber posture.
Next we assess and score your cyber posture score across 20 cyber specific domain areas. This articulates the effectiveness of your cyber protections.
Finally we prepare a targeted cyber remediation plan to guide your organisation to lift your posture to at or above your risk appetite score - therefore ensuring relevant cyber protections are in place to meet your risk appetite.
This approach leads to a targeted investment program that aligns with the organisation’s stated requirements and avoids over investment or gaps in your cyber protections.
